This project investigates eco-communities and sustainable practices by documenting two distinct sites in Wageningen: a food forest located near Wageningen University and Ppauw, an eco-village situated in another part of the city.

The food forest, established four years ago, stands as a pioneering example of permaculture in the Netherlands. Designed to function as a self-sustaining ecosystem, it utilizes renewable resources and contributes to local biodiversity.

Ppauw, the eco-village, reflects a community-oriented approach to living in harmony with nature. Emphasizing collective action and ecological awareness, it serves as a living experiment in alternative ways of inhabiting and interacting with the environment.

Together, these two spaces reveal evolving relationships between humans and nature, offering insight into sustainable innovation, ecological design, and the possibilities of regenerative living.
