Not everything that grows is allowed to stay grounded
This project explores wild plants within the urban landscape, portraying them in a portrait-like manner to emphasize their significance and question the common perception of weeds as undesirable.
Often viewed as intrusive or unmanageable, these plants persist and thrive in unexpected corners of the built environment. Even in spaces designed to be sterile and controlled, nature reasserts itself with quiet determination. The work captures this resilience and adaptability, revealing the persistent presence of organic life amid concrete and steel.
Seen through this lens, the plants become symbols of freedom—natural elements that defy imposed boundaries. Their presence invites a rethinking of urban design and encourages more integrative, harmonious approaches to incorporating nature into city spaces.
